TENACIOUS
Written by: Antonio Calipjo Go
Directed by: Giancarlo Dizon

Tenacious is an original piece of Antonio Calipjo Go which is primarily meant to be executed as a play. It was modified, however, to allow the possibility of being made into film. With the script modified, its film version,  under the direction of Giancarlo Dizon, materialized in 2009. A little over than 2 months in the making, Tenacious premiered at Marian School in February 2010.

Tenacious is a story about two sisters whose lives were closely intertwined in an intricate web of love that bordered on the obsessive. Their relationship is put to the test, when the elder sister Lucrecia suddenly takes interest in the family caretaker's son Rodrigo. Lucrecia is very protective of her sister Lilia, but her fondness for the younger sibling is turned into loathing, because Rodrigo is, apparently, in love with Lilia.

Seeing that she stands no chance against Lilia, Lucrecia takes matters into her hands. Her first attempt at committing suicide proves to be effective, keeping Rodrigo enslaved for the time being. Unfortunately, her act costs her her legs. Lucrecia is bound to the wheelchair for life. With the pretext of her capacity to die for love, what can Rodrigo do but to follow the haciendera's every selfish whim?

When everything seems to be going according to her plan, Lucrecia discovers that the lovers, despite what had happened to her, are still seeing each other in secrecy. Because of this, Lucrecia opts for a second attempt at suicide. This time, she succeeds. Bound to her wheelchair, Lucrecia plunges into the swimming pool and drowns.

During Lucrecia's wake, Lilia and Rodrigo are emboldened to proceed with their plans as a couple, not knowing that their lives are about to change --- but not for the better.

What end would Lucrecia's death be for, if she does not use it to her advantage, that is, to exact revenge and to get back at the people who have caused her her one and only love.

The tenacity of Lucrecia's love fuels her to rise from the dead to take what should have been hers in the beginning.
